Welcome Week 2023

Yesterday, August 1st, 2023, five new apprentices started their apprenticeship as industrial clerks, IT specialists for data and process analysis, chemical production specialists and warehouse logistics specialists. This also marked the beginning of the introductory week, called Welcome Week.

Full Speed Ahead into the World of Apprenticeship

The first day of our Welcome Week started with a relaxed introduction. Everyone answered various questions about themselves. Funny coincidences quickly emerged: vanilla was the most frequently mentioned favourite ice cream flavour, three apprentices have already regretted having shaved off their hair once and have already met a football player in person. Of course, their apprenticeship with us is only complete with the KCX school goodie bag.

The Motto Is: Experience KCX

The first day of apprenticeship then had a varied programme in store for the five apprentices. After some training and instruction, it was down to the nitty-gritty: During the product training, our application technology explained the washing process with our chemical and accessory products. Of course, everyone was allowed to try it out for themselves and thus gain an insight into the world of Koch-Chemie products.

After the pizza lunch, the KCX apprenticeship rally started. The task was to answer various quiz questions about the different areas of the company. Together as a team and with the help of other employees, all questions could be solved, from mineral acids to warehouse shelves and system developments. The traditional ice cream truck with the entire staff was another highlight of the first apprenticeship day.

The First Team Outing Is Coming Up

On Thursday, the Welcome Week programme continues. The training coordination will accompany the new apprentices together with the previous apprentices to a team building at the Sorpesee. The now large group of ten apprentices is really looking forward to this.
