A Reunion of the Automotive Aftermarket.

Looking Back at Automechanika 2022

Automechanika 2022 in Frankfurt is behind us. At our booth in Hall 12.0, we were able to present our new products such as Heavy Cut H9.02, Ceramic Allround C0.02 and Lasting Wheel express, held many valuable discussions with existing and new customers and, of course, as usual, demonstrated our PolishSystem in action. After a four-year forced break due to the pandemic, Automechanika attracted 78,000 visitors from 175 countries and was therefore a valuable experience for the entire industry.

Sustainability as a core topic

Sustainability is a KCX value and an unmissable trend in society. At Automechanika, we therefore presented our various measures as part of our sustainability campaign. Together with strong partners such as Climate Partner and Nordic Swan, we will help shape a greener future. The green icons on our stand attracted the interest of many visitors, making it clear that a holistic sustainability strategy is not a "can do" but a "must do" for companies. You can read more about the sustainability strategy in our blog post.

Car wash and care in the new Hall 12.0

For the first time, Hall 12.0 was designed exclusively for suppliers from the car wash and care sector. Koch-Chemie was not only represented at its own booth. We also presented our PolishSystem and coating products in the adjacent DIY area in cooperation with AUTOLACKAFFEN. Interested visitors could try their hand at various vehicle parts at any time and improve their polishing and sealing skills. On the Automechanika Academy stage, we also shared our expert knowledge on fresh water reduction in car washing and sealing products. Fresh water reduction in particular is currently a hotly debated topic in the industry. A lack of rainfall, increasingly hot summers and tightening laws on water consumption are demanding answers from manufacturers of chemicals and systems as well as carwash operators.

Positive visitor balance

Even though experience shows that visitor numbers fluctuate on the various days of the trade show, our trade show team was always very busy. Many new customer contacts were made, our new products were brought into focus, and of course discussions were held with existing customers and distributors. Automechanika provided an impressive platform to maintain and expand the network and to position Koch-Chemie as a high-quality system provider in vehicle washing and care.

The next Automechanika will take place from September 10-14, 2024 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
